Rebecca Ann Mello

The main thing that I'll always remember about Becca was her kindness and how she always cared about other people. Whenever I would come out to visit and if she couldn't hang out with me due to work or school or just being tired from dialysis she would always ask me to call her to see how I was doing. One time we went down to San Diego for the Street Scene festival and Becca found this hotel on-line that she thought would be a good place to stay at. It described itself as "European", which Becca seemed to like. When we got there it turned out to be a dump with no air conditioning. A hotel in San Diego with no air conditioning at the end of August. Wonderful. Becca was apologetic to me about how bad it was, like I would blame her for it. I saw the website for the hotel as well and it looked okay to me. But that was how she was, always thinking about the other person. If more people were like Becca this world would be a whole lot better off. Though my time with her was brief my life will be better for having her in it, even if it was only a short while.
